Supercomputing extreme matter created during little bangs

Abstract

The role of supercomputing in revealing the nature of extreme hot-dense matter created during the little bangs of relativistic heavy-ion collisions will be discussed. A brief overview of the recent results, relevant for heavy-ion collision experiments, obtained from ab-initio lattice Quantum Chromodynamics computations at non-zero temperatures and densities will be presented.
