Nuclear Physics Dissertation Award: Neutron decay measurements: old

COFFEE_KLATCH · Invited

Abstract

For over eighty years since the discovery of the neutron, precision weak decay measurements have provided deep insights into the fundamental structure of the universe. This talk will review contributions from the history of neutron decay experiments, and describe how contemporary angular correlation and lifetime measurements can address important open questions about the Standard Model (and beyond). *Dissertation completed at Cal Tech.
