Recent results for light nuclei with chiral two-body forces, three-body forces and consistent electroweak interactions

Abstract

Using the no-core shell model, we calculate ground and low-lying excited states of light nuclei in the mass range A=4-16 up through next-to-next-to-leading order in chiral effective field theory using semilocal coordinate-space regularized two- and three-nucleon forces from the Low Energy Nuclear Physics International Collaboration (LENPIC). The inclusion of the three-nucleon force is found to improve the agreement with experiment for most of the considered observables. These results and applications to Nd scattering may be found in a forthcoming paper (LENPIC collaboration, E. Epelbaum, et al., in preparation). We also investigate the corrections arising from consistent treatment of electroweak currents within two-body systems as a prelude to applications to light nuclei.
