CUORE Measurement of Two-Neutrino Double-Beta Decay
ORAL
Abstract
The Cryogenic Underground Observatory for Rare Events (CUORE) is a neutrinoless double-beta decay experiment currently operating at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS). Since April 2017, CUORE has been taking data in 130Te by using 988 TeO2 crystals arranged in 19 towers inside of a cryostat operating at approximately 10 mK. In this talk, I will present the measurement of the two-neutrino double-beta decay rate and the search for other rare events. With 86.3 kg*y of 130Te data, we determine the half-life of two-neutrino double-beta decay to be 7.9 ± 0.1 (stat) ± 0.2 (syst) × 1020 y.
