Smoothing and Bootstrapping in Numerical Studies of Lattice Statistical Models

Abstract

We investigate the applicability and estimate efficiency for Monte Carlo type simulations in lattice models of magnetic materials. In particular, an improved algorithm based on smoothed bootstrapping of Markov chains is applied to the two-dimensional Ising model. We report the results based on several smoothing functions.
