Abelian and non-Abelian Quasielectrons
ORAL
Abstract
While quasiholes in the fractional quantum Hall effect are well-understood and their explicit form is uncontroversial, their negatively charged counterpart, the quasielectrons, have proven to be much more elusive. We solve the problem of defining, within conformal field theory, a proper quasielectron operator. The strength of our description lies in its applicability, and we will give several explicit examples of this, such as the condensation of Abelian and non-Abelian quasielectrons.
