Abstract
The biomass in cells is mostly protein. So, it is natural to expect that some of the physical behaviors of cells, including components of their growth laws, should be explainable in terms of the physical properties of cellular proteomes, the sum total of a cells proteins. We develop simple physical models for how cells respond to temperature, osmotic pressure, and under different growth conditions.
