Abstract

The 2014 APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics gathered approximately a thousand participants at six sites across the nation. As part of the overall project evaluation, we collected pre and post workshop surveys from conference participants. The surveys were designed to investigate how features of the CUWiP conferences impacted participants' physics-related attitudes (e.g. physics identity) and knowledge (e.g. opportunities, career options) as well as to gauge how the conferences promoted the development of networks among participants. In this talk we present initial findings from the surveys and discuss how these surveys might influence future iterations of the CUWiP.
