Surface structures and defect control during epitaxy of crystal

In this talk, I will show a few examples in which the surface structures play important roles on the defect incorporation into the crystal lattice. The surface orientations and the atomic structures have strong influence on the solubility, the type, and even the direction of the incorporated defects.
