Error sources in transition matrix Ising Model calculations

The relative accuracy of several illustrative implementations of the transition matrix method will be discussed in the context of the two dimensional Ising model. Observed deviations from analytic results will be analyzed heuristically and compared to those associated with alternative techniques.
