Structure of A3B2O7 Improper Ferroelectrics

Abstract

The nature of the onset of ferroelectricity in improper ferroelectric layered A3B2O7 perovskites is being investigated theoretically. To place constraints on the theoretical work, detailed structural measurements are required. In this work we report experimental results from multiple probes of the structure on different length scales and compare them to theoretical predictions.
