Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Purdue University: from the Laboratory to the Market

Abstract
The knowledge-based economy of the XXIst Century critically depends on the pursuit of knowldege, workforce developmnet and technology creation at our academic institutions. The role played by said institutions in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship is pivotal and an integral part of their mission in serving the public good. In this talk I will describe the tools that we have implemented both at the educational and research level in recent years at Purdue University to accelerate the translation of ideas to commercialization.
