Simulations of an immersed sheet in a fluid

Examining the dynamics of an immersed sheet in a fluid provides experimental data on the elastic properties of this sheet. These experimental results inspire our development of a coupled MD model for the sheet coupled to a lattice Boltzmann method for the fluid flow. In this poster I will present initial results on the development of an immersed boundary lattice Boltzmann method that can be used to analyze the experimental results for the deformation of such a sheet.
