Measuring mitochondrial transcription factor A using graphene transistors

Abstract
Graphene, an allotrope of carbon in which atoms are arranged entirely within a two dimensional sheet, has been shown to be a sensitive probe for biological activity. We report on efforts to functionalize graphene with mitochondrial DNA which should make the devices sensitive to mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM).
