The IBM Q experience and QISKit open-source quantum computing software
Invited
Abstract
The IBM Q experience is a cloud-based quantum computing system that was made publicly available in the summer of 2016. Since then, more than 60,000 users across all seven continents have run over 1.7 million remote experiments on IBM’s superconducting transmon devices and online simulators. Students and educators have successfully incorporated the IBM Q experience into classroom and summer school curricula. Researchers have used the system to investigate quantum computing, error correction, and validation techniques and metrics. In this talk, I will discuss the most recent developments around the IBM Q experience and QISKit open-source software for quantum computing.
