Discrete Quantum Physics & Generalized Uncertainty Principle

Recent developments in studies on the short distance behavior of strings and properties of black hole have increased interest in minimum length of spacetime and generalized uncertainty principle. I will consider a quantum mechanical model which allows a discrete space and how a generalized uncertainty principle can arise from the spatial discretization.
