Cavity-Vibration Mixed States
Invited
Abstract
Rabi splitting measurements of cavity-vibration mixed states have recently been obtained for condensed phase molecular vibrations interacting with the cavity modes of an etalon in an ordinary benchtop Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (at both the Naval Research Lab and University of Strasbourg). We explore the connection and pitfalls of experimental measurements of Rabi splittings of the mixed states and their connection to fundamental molecular quantum mechanics. The results will be discussed in the context of our own measurements, etalon designs, and fitting of the data to extract fundamental results.
