Anomalous behaviors of elastoresistivity associated with the pseudogap state in cuprates

ORAL

Abstract

Many results have suggested that the rotational symmetry is broken in the pseudogap state in cuprates. This type of symmetry breaking has been found in iron-based superconductors and is believed to be associated with the nematic order. Therefore, it will be very interesting to see if the nematic order presents in cuprates. In this work, we studied the elastoresistivity of hole-doped cuprates by the way similar to that for iron-based superconductors. The elastoresistivity along particular crystalline direction shows behaviors similar to those in iron-based superconductors. However, they are significantly affected by the crystal structures and disorders, which casts doubt on the existence of nematic order in cuprates.
