Microwave Switches with Single Flux Quantum Control

Abstract

We present a superconducting microwave switch with multi-GHz bandwidth and single-flux-quantum (SFQ) control. We use the output of the switch to provide a highly energy-efficient method of communicating data from an SFQ logic circuit to room-temperature control hardware. The principle of operation, limitations, and use cases will be discussed.
