Morphology analysis based on information theory

ORAL

Abstract

We used machine vision and information theory approach to address a question of quantitative description of the morphological traits in biological systems. We used a population of fruit flies that was under developmental pressure to demonstrate the potential of the newly developed method. In particular, we changed diet and temperature to increase morphological variation.
