Time- and Angle-Resolved Photoemission Study on the Excitonic Insulator Candidate Ta2NiSe5

ORAL

Abstract

Ultra-high resolution laser-based time- and angle-resolved photoemission is a unique technique in probing the momentum resolved ultrafast electronic dynamics in quantum solid material. In this talk, we will present the electronic evidence of quenching the excitonic insulating state and a hidden semimetallic state upon excited by a strong infrared laser pulse in the excitionic insulator candidate Ta2NiSe5.
