Effect of pH on polymer adsorption and bridging in a two oppositely charged nanoparticle/protein system
ORAL
Abstract
We discuss the results of molecular simulations of charged particles in presence of oppositely charged, dissociable polymers. The effect of pH on adsorption and bridging characteristics of the polyelectrolyte for both homogeneous and heterogeneously charged particles is studied. We have studied the effect of charge distribution on the particles, charge and size of polyelectrolytes and concentration of polymers on adsorption, bridging and effective interactions between the particles.
