Reorganization phonon scattering interaction induced by Interlayer interactions

Two-dimensional materials has been attracting lots of attentions among people. In two-dimensional materials, the interlayer interactions are important in phonon-phonon scattering, which is responsible for the thermal transports by phonon. One of the attracting materials which has interlayer interaction is PtX2 (X=S,Se). Those materials have been considered in investigations for the interlayer interactions. We now found that phonon modes from interlayer interaction in bilayer change the phonon transport behaviors compared to the monolayer one.
