Optical characterization of quasi-1D antiferromagnet

ORAL

Abstract

In this talk I will discuss the first high-quality optical characterization measurements on AgCrP2S6. This is an intriguing van der Waals material which features 1D chains of Cr atoms that order antiferromagnetically below T=21K. I will discuss optical transmission, reflection, and photoluminescence measurements, which we use to determine the bandgap.
