Development and Implementation of Hyperdimensional Microscopy: Opportunities and Challenges

Scientific discoveries are often stimulated by the new experimental measurement approaches. In this talk, I will walk you through the progress of a series of instrumentation projects in my group related to the development of the hyperdimensional microscopy, a scanning tunneling microscope based imaging approach that spans a wide range in the space, time and energy domains. I will also explain the challenges my team encounter during this journey and how we deal with them.
