Exploring the Potential of a Commercially Available Superconducting QPU System

ORAL

Abstract

We present a commercially available superconducting QPU system rooted from a tripartite collaboration, consisting a 5-qubit chip (Quantware), a TWPA (Quantware), a customized dilution refrigerator (FormFactor Inc.), and a FPGA-based Digital Direct Synthesis (DDS) system (Tabor Electronics Ltd.). We describe the user-friendly measurement protocol of the qubits, where we take full advantage of the DDS system to allow for an automated calibration process. We further discuss the realization of two-qubit gates in this system enhanced by the capabilities of the DDS framework. Finally, we discuss the scalability of such a system to 25 qubits and beyond.
