Kinetic theory of the shear viscosity in interacting two-dimensional Fermi liquids
ORAL
Abstract
In interaction-dominated two-dimensional electron gases at intermediate temperatures, electron transport is not diffusive as in the conventional Drude picture but described by hydrodynamics. The transport coefficient that sets the relaxation of a current in this regime is the shear viscosity $eta$. In this talk, I present a numerically exact calculation of this quantity on the basis of Fermi liquid theory for binary interactions valid at all temperatures.
