Abstract

Rapper Consensus presents a captivating project that explores the "Origins of the Universe'' through the medium of rap music. This innovative approach aims to connect physics with students aged 14-18 and the general public. His previous science rap album ConCERNed (working with the LHC), saw great success and received good press from the likes of The Financial Times & BBC World News. Following this, he was granted a prestigious public engagement award from the UK’s STFC, known for funding national STEM research.

During the discussion, Consensus will briefly detail how it has been possible to make physics, astronomy, and particle physics more accessible and engaging. The project enlisted several influential UK musicians and a range of physicists working at CERN, NASA, LIGO, Fermilab and more. It’s from here that we see him now produce the Original Conscience album and work on its supporting materials for teachers in the classroom.

The album has already seen multiple features from the likes of BBC London Radio, BBC Radio 6, BBC introducing and Symmetry Magazine and is set to continue impact as more of the content is rolled out!
