High-Q resonances with arbitrary eigenpolarizations
ORAL
Abstract
Fano resonances with tunable polarizations have shown significant potential for a wide range of applications, spanning from information processing to quantum optics. We have theoretically illustrated that the broken out-of-plane symmetry and in-plane symmetry can tailor the far-field polarization of a Fano resonant state originating from the bound state in the continuum. We utilize the multipole decomposition method to analyze and improve performance. Our proposal would extend the understanding of Fano resonance-based light-matter interactions and benefit the exploration of surface-emitting lasers.
