Zooming in the hidden electronic structure and capturing the ultrafast dynamics by Time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy
ORAL
Abstract
Resolving the fine electronic structure and capturing the ultrafast dynamics are critical for understanding electronic properties and non-equilibrium properties of quantum materials. In this talk, I will present our recent developments in advanced time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (TrARPES). In particular, I will present a record high time resolution of 81–95 fs covering the probe photon energy range of 5.3–7.0 eV [1]. Such advanced TrARPES system allows to zoom in the fine electronic structure as well as capturing the ultrafast dynamics of various quantum materials. I will also present some experimental progress, which is made possible by using such advanced technique. [1] Haoyuan Zhong et al., Rev. Sci. Instrum. 93, 113910 (2022)
