Robust and optimal control in weakly coupled open quantum system

ORAL

Abstract

Pulse optimization plays a crucial role in improving the control of quantum systems. The dominant sources of errors arise from the fluctuations of system parameters and Lindblad noise. In this study, we propose a new GRAPE algorithm for an open quantum system, which enables simultaneous optimizations for both types of these errors. The algorithm is highly efficient with the computational complexity proportional to the number of types of noise considered in the optimization. Through numerical simulation and experimental validation on a three-dimensional superconducting circuit QED platform, we demonstrate the effectiveness of this algorithm by showing a remarkable improvement in the control infidelity.
