Physics Pedagogy Study: Building an Inclusive Community

Abstract
If a physics course began with a discussion of the existence of systemic bias, it's common manifestations, and healthy responses/resources, what impact would that have? I have workshopped such a presentation and am measuring the impact on students' sense of belonging, STEM identity, and overall performance. Informal feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and our data will be available to share by March. We hope to promote similar presentations in other courses.
