Oral: Superfluid Weight enhancement due to remote band proximity

ORAL

Abstract

We study the effect of band gap closing due to the presence of remote bands on the superfluid weight in multi-orbital flat-band superconductors. We find that when the band gap of a remote dispersive band is energetically close to the superconducting gap, the geometric and conventional superfluid weights have a linear logarithm and quadratic-linear crossover, respectively. The possibilities of enhancement of the BKT transition temperature due to this crossover in 2D crystal superconductor will be discussed. We also discuss the possibility of superfluid weight enhancement due to the hybridization of a dispersive band with a flat-band superconductor.
