Superconducting Coupling in High-Tc Hydrides

ORAL

Abstract

Materials with desired structure and physical properties such as near-room temperature superconductivity can be fabricated under pressure in the megabar range. By leveraging the advances in the diamond anvil pressure cell and pulsed magnetic field technologies we are able to characterize the superconducting order and the vortex matter in hydrogen-rich high temperature superconductors. We will discuss the direct probes of the superconducting gap and the evidence of the multi-band nature of the underlying ground state.
