Generalised Polytropic Fluid Spheres with Cosmological Constant

ORAL

Abstract

In general relativity, stars can be represented as static fluid spheres. For this project, we assume a polytropic equation of state to construct a generalised mathematical model for fluid spheres with density profile, polytropic index, and state function acting as free parametes. We investigate specific cases by fixing two parameters and then solving the Einstein field equations with a cosmological constant to find the third one. Through exploring this rich parameter space, we also derive other physical quantities that we analyze to find which models violate physical acceptance criteria.
