Effective Field Theory Approach to Two- and Many-Body Forces

ORAL

Abstract

The past has seen many attempts to derive the nuclear force. The recently developed effective field theory approach to nuclear forces is superior to all earlier attempts. It represents a scheme that has an intimate relationship with QCD and allows to calculate nuclear forces to any desired accuracy. Moreover, nuclear two- and many-body forces are generated on the same footing. In my contribution, I will summarize the current status in the field.
