How thick is human hair?$\backslash $f1

POSTER

Abstract

In this experiment, we measured the thickness of human hair using two techniques. When the light from a laser beam falls on a single strand of hair, creates a diffraction pattern that we projected on a screen. Using the diffraction pattern, we calculated the width of the strand of hair. In the second method, we used a microscope connected to a computer. We analyzed different types of hair, including colored and not colored ones. We also measured rabbit and cat hair. We will present the analysis and precision of each method.
