Femur bone strength in \textit{Tyrannosaurus rex}: A study of sexual dimorphism

POSTER

Abstract

\textit{Tyrannosaurus rex} is the iconic species of a fearsome predator and is held in fascination by virtually everyone. Like many other species, \textit{Tyrannosaurs rex} displayed sexual dimorphism with the females larger than the males. The femur bones of 14 fossil specimens were examined to determine if the maximum running abilities were significantly different for the two genders. No significant difference is observed.
