Supporting Teachers to Encourage the Pursuit of Undergraduate Physics for Women (STEP UP 4 Women)
ORAL
Abstract
While nearly 1/2 of the students taking physics in high school are women, only 1/5 of the students interested in physics majors in college are women. How can you help high school teachers to change this pattern? Physics education researchers have developed two high school physics class lessons that have been shown to increase the interest of high school women in physics careers. Join us to provide critical feedback on recruiting strategies and how you can help motivate teachers to join the campaign. Learn more at stepup4women.org.
