You're doing great, but could you do better? A new tool to self-assess your program.

This workshop will give a hands-on introduction to a new instrument developed through PhysTEC: The Physics Teacher Education Program Assessment (PTEPA). The PTEPA is a detailed rubric which enables characterization of what different teacher preparation programs do -- such as funding, leadership, collaboration, student recruitment, physics pedagogy, mentoring, and assessment -- and use those results to generate ideas. Be among the first to explore the instrument, which is being released in its beta version at this meeting. We will introduce the instrument, help you learn to use it, and discuss how you might use these results to improve your program.
