How to start a regional PhysTEC network in your state

Abstract

PhysTEC Regional Networks are a collection of institutions that join together to share expertise, work on joint goals, and support each other and the physics teachers in the region. Regional networks have the potential to leverage efforts and build a local community to support physics teacher preparation in the region, which can bring recognition to programs and the network. The southern California regional network is comprised of ten California State Universities with representatives from physics and science education/teacher education departments. This workshop will share our experiences and lessons learned while also helping you start to think about, and plan, your own regional network
