Abstract

In February of this year the Secretary of Energy announced CD-1 for the 12 GeV Upgrade at Jefferson Lab. I will describe the key elements of this Upgrade, as well as the progress made thus far. As this project will enable major advances in our understanding of the strong force, I will also describe a sample of the key experimental measurements which we intend to carry out in the first five years of operation.
