ATLAS 2.0: an update

Abstract

With the discovery of a new boson by the Large Hadron Collider experiments ATLAS and CMS, the ATLAS experiment has entered a new phase. Regardless of whether the theoretical landscape in particle physics is narrowed or broadened with this discovery, some new, concrete challenges have become central to the ATLAS physics program. In this talk, I will report on relevant results of ATLAS searches and measurements over the past year and discuss how the experiment must continue to evolve to meet these challenges.
