X-Ray Diffraction: Geiger-M\"{u}ller Tube Experiments

POSTER

Abstract

X-ray experiments were performed with the Leybold Didactic Model 554801 X-Ray Apparatus with a Molybdenum anode. The experiments performed include Bragg's Law, the Duane-Hunt relation, Planck's Constant, and Moseley's Law and the Rydberg constant. X-ray filtering and the energy spectrum of an X-ray tube as a function of voltage and current were also observed. The results of these experiments and the performance of the x-ray apparatus will be presented.
