Quantum enhancement of hot atoms-based optical sensors

ORAL  · Invited

Abstract

Atoms are one of Nature's most sensitive probes, and atom-based clocks, magnetometers and gyroscopes can reach an unprecedented accuracy. In this talk I will discuss a several applications of room-temperature atoms for precision metrology. I will also show how the sensor performance can be improved by using non-classical light, that we can also generate using atoms.
