Making the leap to Online Labs

This fall we rolled out a fully online version of our introductory calculus-based physics sequence. In past years, we only had the lecture available online. In this presentation, I will focus on the online laboratory portion of the course. In preparation for making the transition from in-person to online, we took a 10-week Foundations course followed up by a 5-week Online Science Mastery Series workshop from the Online Learning Consortium. Insights gained from these courses helped us with our course development. I will explain how we implemented what we learned from these courses into our laboratory courses. I will describe the format of the laboratory course in its current form by taking you on a tour of the course on our LMS.
