Long-baseline neutrino experiments: Today and tomorrow

ORAL  · Invited

Abstract

Neutrinos are elementary particles carrying a wealth of phenomenology. Initially believed to be massless, the discovery of neutrino oscillations proved that neutrinos have small masses, a feature not anticipated by the Standard Model. Global experimental initiatives are currently underway to investigate neutrino properties. Long-baseline experiments aim to precisely measure the parameters that govern neutrino oscillations. This talk summarizes the latest findings from long-baseline experiments and introduces the status of the next generation of long-baseline experiments (such as DUNE and Hyper-K). It also delves into unresolved questions in the neutrino oscillation model and the potential for new physics discoveries Beyond the Standard Model using neutrino data.
