"Reaction" is not Reaction

Abstract
In this talk, I would like to point out that the way Newton's Laws are often taught in our classrooms is quite misleading if not outright incorrect. The 3rd Law is particularly problematic if expressed as the "action-reaction law" since "reaction" (the physics term) is NOT reaction (everyday English term). I will clarify the shortcomings of the traditional approach and propose an alternative method which I believe is much easier for the student to grasp.
