Extraction of Two-Dimensional Initiation Thresholds from Pop Plot Data

Unlike one-dimensional impacts, there is a close relationship between the Pop Plot and the two-dimensional initiation threshold for a given explosive. The reasons for this relationship are explored and estimates of the 2D threshold, obtained from what is a one-dimensional measurement (the Pop Plot), are compared with experimental results for a range of explosives.
