Calorimetry at RHIC and future facilities

ORAL  · Invited

Abstract

This talk will explore recent advancements in calorimetry for detectors at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider, RHIC, including the recently commissioned sPHENIX experiment and the STAR forward upgrade. I will also discuss state-of-the-art calorimetric technologies and capabilities being developed for future facilities, with a focus on the ePIC detector at the upcoming Electron-Ion Collider, EIC, highlighting their potential to address key scientific challenges in understanding the fundamental structure of matter.
